Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons medium-dark roast coffee beans, freshly ground
- 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 small star anise pod
- 12 oz hot water (205°F)
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Ground cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- Place your pour-over dripper on your cup and insert the filter. Rinse with hot water and discard the rinse water
- Add ground coffee to the filter
- Mix pumpkin pie spice and cardamom into the ground coffee
- Place star anise pod in the bottom of your cup
- Add condensed milk to your cup
- Pour a small amount of hot water over the coffee grounds and let bloom for 30 seconds
- Continue pouring hot water in circular motions until you reach 12 oz
- Remove star anise pod and stir to combine with condensed milk
- Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired
