Ingredients
- 17g medium-dark roast coffee, ground for AeroPress
- 1 ripe pear, diced
- 2 whole star anise pods
- 2 tbsp salted caramel sauce
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 240ml hot water (200°F/93°C)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- In a small pan, caramelize diced pear with brown sugar until golden brown (about 3 minutes)
- Add star anise pods and cook for another minute until fragrant
- Set up your AeroPress in the standard position with a paper filter
- Add ground coffee to the AeroPress
- Pour a small amount of hot water to bloom the coffee (30 seconds)
- Add the remaining water and stir gently
- Press slowly after 1:30 minutes
