Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons coarsely ground medium-dark roast coffee
- 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- 2 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 2 black peppercorns
- 1 thin slice fresh ginger
- 16 oz hot water (200°F)
- Milk and sweetener to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Warm your French press by rinsing it with hot water
- Add whole spices and vanilla bean (pod and seeds) to the empty press
- Add coarsely ground coffee
- Pour hot water (200°F) over the coffee and spices
- Stir gently
- Let steep for 4 minutes
- Press plunger down slowly
