- 17g medium-dark roast coffee, freshly ground
- 200ml hot water (195-205°F)
- 30ml homemade pear syrup
- 1/4 inch fresh ginger, finely grated
- 2 cardamom pods, crushed
- For the pear syrup:
- 1 ripe pear, diced
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar

- **For the pear syrup:** 1. Combine diced pear, water, and sugar in a small saucepan 2. Simmer for 15 minutes 3. Strain and cool
- Set up your AeroPress in the standard position with a paper filter
- Add crushed cardamom pods and grated ginger to the AeroPress
- Add freshly ground coffee
- Pour hot water to the '2' mark and stir gently
- Attach the cap and wait 1 minute
- Press slowly for about 30 seconds
- Add pear syrup to the brewed coffee and stir well
