Ingredients
- 18g medium-dark roast coffee, finely ground
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 3/4 cup water
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Brown butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until golden and fragrant, about 5 minutes
- Fill moka pot base with hot water up to the valve
- Add ground coffee to the filter basket, don't tamp
- Assemble moka pot and brew on medium heat
- While coffee brews, add 1 tablespoon of brown butter and maple syrup to a small jar
- When coffee is ready, add 2 tablespoons to the jar
- Seal jar and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to create foam
- Pour remaining coffee into a mug
